Background

EU issued Regulation (EU) 2015/757 which provides guidance on Data Collection, Monitoring, Verification and Reporting, mostly known as EU MRV Regulation. UK was part of EU during implementation of EU MRV legislation. However after Brexit and one year of grace period, UK issued the MIN 669 (M+F) Reporting Emissions Data into the UK MRV Regime, to cover the collection and reporting requirements for CO2 emissions. Shipping Companies are required to establish a monitoring and data collection system, in order to provide reports on an annual basis, for measuring the quantity of CO2 emissions of their fleet. Plan should be developed in line with EU Guidelines, the EU sample of Ref. Ares(2016)3985800 and common marine practice, the requirements of UK MIN 669. The Plan is subject to Verification by an accredited Verifier in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2015/757 for EU MRV Regime or UK’s NAB (UKAS) for UK MRV Regime.
